Crying for A Sin till His Eyes Sore
A companion of the Prophet -peace and prayer of Allah be upon him-, Abdullah Ibn Amr -may Allah be pleased with him- was a man who cried a lot for his sins, as told by Ya’la Ibn Atha, from his mother, where his mother was a person who used to make antimony for Abdullah Ibn Amr, and Abdullah was a man who cried a lot, he used to close his door and cried till his eyes sore.
Likewise, a muslim should cry for his sins, as the Prophet -peace and prayer of Allah be upon him- said,
أَمْلِكْ عَلَيْكَ لِسَانَكَ وَ لِيَسَعْكَ بَيْتُكَ وَابْكِ عَلَى خَطِيْئَتِكَ
“Hold your tongue, use your house a place For worshipping activities, and cry for your sin.” (Narrated by Tirmidhi, no. 2406)
Abdullah Ibn Amr -may Allah be pleased with him- died in year 63 of Hijra.
May Allah’s please always be upon him.
