Is the torment of the grave only for disbelievers?

Question:

Is the torment of the grave will afflict muslims who did evildoing or is it only for disbelievers?

Answer:

A continuous torment inside of the grave will afflict the hypocrites and disbelievers, whereas a believer who committed evildoing may also be punished inside of his grave. In “Shahih Al Bukhari” and “Shahih Muslim”, it is mentioned in a hadith from Ibn Abbas -may Allah be pleased with him- that one day, when the Prophet -peace and prayer of Allah be upon him- passed by two graves, he said,

“The owners of those graves are tormented and it is not because of major sin. One of them is tormented because he didn’t cover himself while urinating, whereas the other liked to went here and there, spreading slanders.”

The owners of those graves were evidently muslims.
