Rulings for Three sided Credit

I’ve got a friend in Indonesia whose business is motorcycle trading. He wants to ask about the shari’a rulings regarding the following case:

If there is a customer who’d like to buy a motorcycle with credit payment, that friend of mine will sell the motorcycle to the bank. He will receive some money in advance from that customer whereas the rest will be paid entirely by the bank. Thus, the customer will settle the rest of his installments to the bank. For information, the ownership of the goods will be handed over to the bank.

Is there any mistake in such transaction, or is he committing a sin because of it, and what is the ruling for such transaction? For your information, there are only a few [none, -ed] of Islamic bank in his country, Indonesia.

The answer of Sheikh Abdullah Ibn Shalih al Obailan:

That kind of transaction is an unlawful transaction, thus people are not allowed to do it, because it is one of the many usury tricks. The Prophet said, “The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions of the doer.” (Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim).

My suggestion to your friend is to not selling his goods but in cash payment, if that is the condition of credit system in his place.
