What is the Ruling of people who Disgrace Allah and His messenger?

Question:

If there is a man who disgraced Allah and His messenger, or Islam, and that if the disgraced Allah, he will obtain the worldly wealth; what is the ruling of such person?

Answer:

There is no doubt about the status of such man being an infidel (disbeliever), since whoever commits infidelity deliberately only means that he is an infidel. Likewise, whoever commits it out of joke, is an infidel. Whoever commits it out of fear, is an infidel. Even, whoever commits infidelity spurred by worldly motivation, such as wealth, is an infidel, based on the verse, :

“Except for those who were forced to engage in infidelity to Allah after believing the while their hearts remained firmly convinced of their belief, the ones whose hearts willingly embraced disbelief shall incur Allah’s wrath and a mighty chastisement lies in store for them. That is because they love the life of this world more than the Hereafter; and Allah does not guide those who are ungrateful to Allah for His favours.” (Chapter an Nahl/The Bee: 106-107).

In this verse, Allah revealed that they will obtain worldly pleasures (read: wealth) if they choose infidelity. And in the end they prefer the world. Thus, this verse is an evident indication about the infidelity of a person who commits the act of infidelity because of his preference of the worldly pleasures over the hereafter.
